01 · The challenge

Tarn's cabinet weighed 92 kg and had to hold IP66 for twenty years on coastal sites, with a fixed launch date tied to a grid contract.

02 · What we did

We moved the seam welds onto a dual-station robotic cell, added a pressure-decay test to every unit and specified a C5 powder system with 1000 h salt-spray validation. A dedicated flow line ran two shifts.

03 · The result

All 1,800 cabinets shipped on time. Cycle time per enclosure fell from 5.5 hours to 3.1 hours between the first and last batch.

“They treated our deadline as their own and shared the weld data every week.”
